Book review

This week I have decided to read novels!

What better way to start off than to read one of my favorite novel, Black Boy by Richard Wright

It’s a detailed memoir of the Richard’s trials and tribulations through his childhood and also his encounter with the Jim Crow ways of he South in the 1920’s

I enjoy good books that paint a picture of time period seen through the eyes of the author for the modern era to understand . It also sets the tone of what it really felt like to be an African American boy in the United States at a time when the world itself seems to be against them .

It gives a great insight through the eyes a child at the beginning of the book and later as an adult .  A lot of elements of literature are used through out the novel to tell his story .

Highly recommended !!
